What greater privilege do we have as believers in Jesus Christ than to pray to the only One who has the power to save and change lives…to redeem our nation! “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14. Do you believe that?
Christians, it is time that we reflect our LORD well…it is time that we, “a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God” (1 Peter 2:9), show up!
In the name of tolerance and acceptance, we’ve renamed sin….Lord, how sorry we are! In the name of selfishness, we seek to satisfy ourselves before seeking the needs of others….Oh, Lord, hear our cries for forgiveness!
In the name of entertainment, have we let our eyes and ears and hearts be penetrated by the enemy of this world….Dear Jesus, may we know that you are enough to satisfy completely! Under the guise of busyness, do we “fit” you in where we have a few extra minutes…Lord, may we seek you in the morning, and learn to walk in your ways!
Beloved, our God is so holy, but no longer does a curtain separate us from His Shekinah glory. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ do we have undenied access into the very throne room of God (the Holy of Holies), where His grace, mercy and forgiveness abounds. May we live victoriously by the power of the Holy Spirit and through the intimate act of worship through prayer, find ourselves lost in the sweetness of the Savior, and a living testimony to a dying world!
Lord, you are holy – we lift you up and magnify your name. Amen!
