delivered from meth

I spent 20 years addicted to meth. I tried and tried to quit on my own. I somehow thought I was not worthy of Gods love until I quit doing drugs. I was reading a book by Joyce Meyers called Seven things that steal your joy and although I had heard it before it felt like the first time when she stated that the Lord would accept me as I was and then make the changes that needed to be done. I then surrendered to the Lord even though I was still doing drugs. Praisebe to God the drugs have gone away; there is no other way to put it. I have been drug free for over a year, live in a different state than when I started and have a great job I love to go to every day. I know there are still changes to be made in me but the work will be done when my redeemer returns.

All Glory to Him

Since I can remember I wanted to write books, articles, you name it as well as radio and television production and presenting.Somehow it never happened, But the dream was kept alive. In 2002 God spoke to me and said it doesn't where in the world we are we'll be able to spread the Gospel and there will be no boundaries. When I had to return home I contineously seeked God.It was a long and painfull road untill now.I enrolled for a journalism course which I can complete as soon as I can do it and I can do it in 4-5 months.I was also accepted for radio school traing with a christian training centre. It doesn't matter what your age is.Never give up on your dreams.God will make a way when He sees you are ready for it.We know this is the way for me to qualify to be able to apply for a workpermit and get a sponsor to be united with my husband. But most of all God is equipping me to spread the Gospel and reach His purpose for my life. What more can you ask for?Come,Lord Jesus, come.Use me, extend my boundaries, lead me in Your perfect will.Teach me to dance to the beat of Your heart for my life.To You alone be the glory.Amen

God Alone can do this

We've had a very difficult few years, but my daughter and I stayed desperate for God.In 2002 Holy Spirit warned me about the onslaught on our marriage.I only spoke to God about it.I laid all on the altar and asked God to change my world by changing me.Since Dec 2003 my husband and I are seperated by 9500km.I was prepared to obey God irrespective the cost.In Oct 2006 my husband brought All in the Light and we decided to start over.He comes home every 8weeks for 3 weeks, because he has a single contract. When we look back we give God alone all the glory for He alone could bring so much healing and restoration in such a short period. There is no ways that it could happen any other way.We know we're near the end of this season and God has a huge future in store for us.My husband is earnestly seeking a married contract and we know God has called us.That means we have to return to where all the hurt started, but we can do it with Christ. Now we tell each other every day how much we love and miss one another. We love each other more than we did 23 years ago.I want to encourage you by saying do not give up on your marriages, do not allow the enemy to shatter families.Continue to pray for your spouse, your marriage, the marriages of others.Be desperate for God.Be the man/woman God desires you to be.Be the spouse that your husband/wife desires. It's the little things in life that counts. The things you cannot purchase.Treat your spouse the way you want to be treated. In every marriage it should only be you, your spouse and God.Don't even complain to God about your spouse.Even in prayer speak words of life not death. If God can restore our marriage in such a short period He can and wants to do the same for you.We know God Who starts all the good things in our lives will also complete it.The harder you allow God to prune you the sooner and more abbundantly and perfect the fruit will be.Don't interfere with God's work. You'll never experience more than He has not already deposited in you.

A place to live

Our landlord lost his job and decided to sell the house we are currently in.
Last Sunday, I felt the Lord impress upon me to give more than I was planning on.
It was a most incredible time that day and the Lord showed up and showed out and a lot of great things happened that day.
The next evening, I got a call from a friend that I needed to call a mutual friend of ours about a matter.
Having no idea what this was about, I quickly called him up. He started to tell me about this house that he and his brother were buying and he goes into all sorts of details about it. I asked him why was he telling me all this. His answer was that instead of moving out of where they were living, they had decided to buy it as an investment house and rent it to us. It is also right on the border of our kids school district so my kids can graduate from the same school and not have to go to another school in the middle of the year.
All this just 24 hours later after being obedient to give the amount that I was impressed to give.
We do not 'buy' favor from God, but, our obediance will open doors otherwise cloesed to us as this shows that we do indeed trust Him and believe and therefore recieve according to Mark 11:23-24.

Prayer Answered FAST!

I know we always HOPE that God will answer our prayers fast, and that happened a couple weeks ago. I posted here on PeoplePray that a friend of mine lost his job and to pray for work to come his way quickly. I was SO encouraged to get an email from him within 48 hours that God answered that prayer with another GREAT job. He's loving where he's at now, and was so encouraged to know that so many people took the time to pray for him. God is GOOD! Thanks to those of you in the PeoplePray community who prayed for him!
